I'm gonna try to make this as quick and easy to understand as possible
Mechanical tension and bone remodeling are closely linked through Wolff's Law, and this process plays a key role in shaping and maintaining the bones of your face (ex. the maxilla, mandible and zygomatic bones).
Bone is not static — it's a living tissue that constantly renews itself. This lifelong process is called bone remodeling:
Osteoclasts break down old or damaged bone.
Osteoblasts build new bone matrix and mineralize it.
This results in an addition of bone mass to the concerned area, as shown in the picture down below.
These two activities are normally balanced, but they can shift in response to needs like repair, growth, or changing loads. In facial bones (which mostly form via intramembranous ossification), remodeling continues into adulthood, though it slows with age.

Mechanical tension refers to applying stress to the bone, in a pushing or hitting way, directly being linked to Wolff's law, which in simple terms mean, bones in a healthy body will remodel and strengthen in response to increased mechanical loading, becoming denser and architecturally better suited to resist those forces. But, if loading decreases, bones lose density and become weaker. BONES ADAPT TO THE LOADS UNDER WHICH IT IS PLACED.

How do I take advantage of that? (not cope)
We all know about the iconic principle of bonesmashing, but it is misunderstood by 90% of people.
So as we already learned, applying mechanical pressure on your bones triggers bone remodeling, which after some time thickens your bones, but here is where most goys get it wrong : hitting the bone ultra hard until it bleeds, IS NOT BONESMASHING, what you see is a temporary pump up, like an after gym pump, that goes away after 10 minutes. Now following the REAL concept of bonesmashing, here's what you're gonna want to do.
HIT THE BONE WITH LOW TO MEDIUM INTENSITY (SHOULDN'T HURT TOO MUCH)
FOR BEST RESULTS, BONESMASH EVERY DAY WITH NO REST DAYS (CONSTANT STRESS : FASTER AND BETTER RESULTS)
WHAT'S IMPORTANT IS TO STAY CONSISTENT
MORNING : 15 TO 30 MINUTES
NOON : 15 TO 30 MINUTES
EVENING : 15 TO 30 MINUTES
(IF POSSIBLE) MIDNIGHT : 15 TO 30 MINUTES

When bonesmashing you should always take supplements as they help keep the bone strong, heres the main ones.
Zinc
Magnesium
D3

Yes yes I know...
It's cope.
Or is it?
Did I not just prove that it works?
Why do people mew then?
Why are MARPEs a thing?
Because IT WORKS
Of course, it will take time, and it might not have the results you expected, but you need to realize that you have to do it while your bones are still malleable, so here's a quick guide, taken from Oscar's videos.
There's many way you can do it, depending on where you wanna place your fingers, I feel like Oscar explains it very well so go listen to this quick video, it's very useful and it will help you understand the whole procedure.

yeah sry bro doesnt work that way first hitting it doesnt give the ideal bending movemnt which what leads to perostieal appostion but perostieal appostion in long bones have shown insignificant diffrence its sub-mm growth IMAGINE in carnio facial bones and they way you bonesmash isnt ideal but assuming you do cyclic pressure based bonesmashing you could gain a mm after YEARS OF IT but its completely theorictacl and 100% take way more time will make a thread on that some time
but great effort and thread

I would disagree here, when done correctly, the loadings put on your bone WILL engage bone remodeling and then bone growth in that specific area, WHEN DONE CORRECTLY, as show here.

Did you read everything I wrote? Or just assume I followed some tiktok trend?
You said the gain will be a few millimeters after multiple years, which is already not true, but even if it was, it's common knowledge that a few millimeters on facial bones is an immense difference.

i did read it i said tis possible but your specifci method of bonesmahing isnt rigth for bone growth to happen you need perostieal appostion and for it to happen one method is mechanical loading(bonesmashing) but smashing is hitting the bone the soft tissue absobs most of the impacts but you didnt read mine i said sub-mm when i say that it meant 1/10 of a mm the gain isnt going to be life chaing but mms of growth MAY i repeat MAY be possible thru years of sustained CYCLIC presasure ama send you a study which you should read

Sure, send the study, cus right now your just throwing information without backup

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10214107/ here read the part about bone remodeling and you would see micro fractures arent even how it happens and even if its possible the growth is usally insignificant and prolly need a lot of time for significant growth
the study never mentions that mechanical loads don't produce osteoblasts that make bones thicker, and I NEVER mention microfractures
I NEVER SAID THAT RESULTS ARE INSTANT OR TAKE LITTLE TIME
looksmaxing is a process that takes time
wolff's law works, they never contradict that in your study
STOP PLAYING WITH ME I'M NEVER WRONG

im making a thread on muscle growth thats related to mechanical tension, but isnt mechanotransduction the mechanism in which bonesmashing meant to work?
