My skin thankfully doesn’t have any obvious problems, but I wanna improve it so it has a smoother texture and a nicer glow. I’m not really sure what I should use or do though. I also have some darkness and fine lines under my eyes, and I’m already using a serum for my eyes, but it’s not enough.

So would you recommend using tretinoin and azelaic acid to get the results I want?(I shave my beard pretty often and i get skin irritation after shaving, so I’m not sure if I can use them or not)

What should I do? I could really use some help.

tret can give you smoother skin but if your skin is already clear it's not worth going through the problems it gives you so use items with lactic and glycolic acid. If your skin is really stubborn consider tret.

what abt azelaic acid?

Azelaic acid encourages cell turnover so its good for hyperpigmentation and skin texture. Use it if your skin is sensitive because it's not as irritating as other acids.

Lately, I’ve gotten noticeably more tanned from the sun, especially on my face and arms, and I also want to improve my skin texture. So, can I use azelaic acid, or would you not recommend it? I’ve also heard that it can help get rid of dark circles under the eyes—is that actually true? And can I use it while also using 10% glycolic acid, or would that be too much?

Pairing it with the glycolic acid can be too strong so if you want to use them both do it on different days. It'll work on your under eyes only if the shadow is caused by hyperpigmentation, which I doubt it is. It's probably your infraorbital structure under your eyes creating the dark circles you see. You can try concealer or tinted sunscreen to kind of mask it.
I'd also say to continue use of azelaic acid to help with your tan and skin texture if you notice improvement.
