a lot of men wish they were cartoonishly and insanely tall mostly due to a lot of women's dating preferences. the opposite is true I'd think, men wanting smaller ladies to feel more tall and masculine. at what point do you start losing attraction? if a man is so tall i feel like a kid, i'd probably not find him attractive. id worry about the dynamics of how daily life would be too.

You can be too short or too tall in the sense the society we've built wouldn't be designed for you. In regards of attraction, I do think that there is a "cut off" where being smaller or taller than a certain point is too much and makes you lose attraction. Being too small is more common than being too tall though.

Sometimes I see couples with a 6'4+ man, and his girlfriend is always like 4'11. It makes me wonder if they just like kids. Of course, height is out of people's control, but I do think couples should be in a similar height range. I wouldn't feel much romantic attraction if I towered over a man simply for ego purposes, or if he was so tall we couldn't comfortably cuddle. There's gotta be a good medium.
