been on my mind for a while
i spent a week of not using the internet and my mind felt instantly clearer, i actually wanted to do productive stuff like studying

but ill still use some modern tech but offline

also getting into cybersecurity lately

AMA

(excuse me if this thread sounds retarded im tired asf rn)

Ask you *anything*? If we're being that open I'm just going to go for it.

As I'm sure you're aware, a toaster is just a death ray with a smaller power supply. Regarding cybersecurity, what would be the most effective power source for me to tap my toaster into without the government immediately being notified?

its helps but it actualy has a big trade off in both social life and your job and education etc but you could still manage just your gonna fall behind in almost every catagory since internet is super dominat

but do what ever you feel like doing just remember it has its down sides

I hope to be outside every single day of summer, I don't want to be indoors/online at all.
I have a girlfriend now, and my friends have so many plans made for summer. I need to finish these fucking exams. 🥲
lucky you have a gf, spend most of your summer with her if she doesnt ghost before summer break

either way gonna be forced to live without internet bc i fucked over my exams :Pain:

true everything has downsides
I wish you luck. It'd be hard in the beginning but it'd be worth it.
thanks big daddy rando

wrap your entire body in tin foil before taking apart the toaster and then put in two packets of mustard into the hardware and your good to go

Imma get laid (hopefully). She won't ghost; our two friend groups are heavily intertwined. I literally hooked up with her for the first time at a small friend's house party.
You're Irish, yeah? So you've done your leaving certs? I'm up in the north, so I'm busy with GCSEs rn. Fucking miserable.

Good luck! I think it won’t be easy, but during and after this you’ll literally ‘see the light’
I did an experiment like this for 4 days I had no access to any communication devices, and I didn’t even speak to anyone in person during that time. At first I was soo bored…I realised that I’d been spending all my free time online…
Over those days I read two books (each about 200 pages long), cleaned the whole house, managed to go for a walk, completed all my uni assignments , and later I simply became enlightened- literally, I just lay there and thought about my life, and being alone with only myself and my thoughts, unaware of what was happening in the rest of the world, I literally became enlightened to some extent…
Incidentally, I’ve noticed that throughout history, variouspeople who have attained enlightenmenthave most often been in solitude..
Temporary seclusion is a means of deep concentration, mental training and re-evaluationz
There are many examples; for instance, Jesus Christ withdrew into the desert away from people before beginning his mission as a teacher for humanity…
1. When there are no social media, you don’t receive validation from society, you don’t react to stimuli, and you don’t maintain a social identity, so you experience a sense of disorientation in life
2. When there is no external noise, you begin to rethink life, re-evaluate your beliefs, and fears and desires surface in your mind
3. Next, your old motivations in your mind weaken, a ‘new you’ emerges, and your new identity takes shape.

I will definitely repeat this experiment at some point..
