Ever since kindergarden, I have been insecure about my looks. I vividly remember not being comfortable with my appearance, but I was a child and at the time and wasn't super embarrassed. As I grew older I began to avoid mirrors and despise photos. I wouldn't tell anyone about things like crushes because I felt like they would immediately think about how an ugly guy like me has no chance with anyone. Whenever someone brought up looks, I would be as silent as possible. If someone walked by me laughing I would instantly assume they were mocking my appearance.
Now, I am still very insecure about my face, despite the fact that I don't personally think I am a very ugly guy. Whenever someone takes a photo with me all I see are flaws in my face.
I've seen subhumans that are able to take selfies of themselves and post them online while I can't even bear to keep an image of my face in my camera roll.
So does anyone have any advice on how to be more comfortable with taking photos?

Honestly, you may have heard this before but the way you look in photos is the way everyone you know in real life sees you anyways. At first this might make you feel worse but if you think about it, its not going to change what anyone thinks about your appearance, so you don’t really have anything to loose. I know this is easier said then done but you really just have to start looking at yourself more and taking more pictures etc to get more used to your appearance. It is a common phenomenon that everyone believes that they are average or above average because of how exposed they are to their own appearance that becomes their norm.
