been playing a lot of Far Cry 5 lately
its set in rural montana where a cult cuts off all outside communication and takes over the county

and youre a sherrifs deputy trying to stop the cult with the help of the residents

i love far cry 5, i think i've played through it more than 6 times.

i see people saying how far cry 3 is a masterpiece and 5 is mid, but for an average person (not an ULTRA FAN of the series), 5 is way better and more enjoyable.

There's way too many issues with it, i agree with that. An AAA ubisoft game should never come out in a state that far cry 6 did - but then again, there's cyberpunk..

But unlike cyberpunk, far cry 6 isn't getting fixed.

I watched a good video about it.

It's the funniest thing ever that the developers added in a shovel launcher weapon as a tribute to players always throwing their shovels for oneshots.

I'm currently playing Tyranny. The whole point of the game is that the big bad evil guy already won, and you're playing as a middle manager enforcing his rule. Lots of policy development, settling political disputes, and navigating bureaucratic red tape. But because evil, instead of it being about housing policy or something it's about whether or not the prisoners of war are better used as slaves to pull supply wagons or if they're too expensive to feed and need to be executed immediately. Then trying to deal with the general/politician you pissed off by taking the other guy's side. So far it's pretty good. I haven't unlocked a pet cat yet but I'm told I can at a later point so I'm excited

Lemme talk about my favorite game series ever - dishonored

if you don't want to listen to me yap about it, there's a lot of videos explaining the complex masterpiece that dishonored is:

Dishonored is a game series set around one idea.

What will you do with unlimited power?

Who are you if no one can stop you?

Despite looking for years, i never found a game that came close to the gameplay of dishonored, it has it's own beautiful art-style aswell as gameplay style. Arkane made sure that the game is it's own thing, that can't be compared to anything else.

You start the game as Corvo Attano - the royal protector (and secret lover) of the Empress Jessamine Kaldwin.

In the first minutes of the game, the empress meets an unfortunate demise - and you are framed for her assassination. You spend the game retaking the empire using powers given to you by an omnipotent being called the outsider.

And the powers.. Don't even get me started.

Teleporting? You got it!

Stopping time? Why not.

Using wind blasts to tear apart someone's limbs? Hell yeah

You can even summon rat swarms or possess people.

When i tell you there's no limits to your creativity, you have to trust me.

You may choose whether you take a low chaos (less lethal, 'morally right') or high chaos (more lethal, brutal) approach.

By all means - the games are ahead of their time. I've never had more fun playing a game than when i played dishonored 1 & 2. The lore, setting and gameplay are literal masterpieces, and you'll feel insane immersion the entire time.

You WILL feel like an absolute badass the entire time, and the developers know it. You'll always see effects of your actions around the entire world.

Dishonored, while taking pride in it's brutality and chaos gameplay, is also amazing at stealth. It's one of the greatest stealth franchises ever made, next to series like assassin's creed or hitman. You can feel like an unstoppable ghost assassin the entire game.

And this is all just dishonored 1.

Dishonored 2 takes the gameplay of the first game, and turns it up to the maximum. You have 2 playable characters with different sets of powers, more paths, more creativity, more upgrades, better sword fighting and better graphics.

Dishonored was so influential that all games in the 2013-2015 period were basically a reskin of dishonored. I wish I could play dishonored 2 for the first time again :(

it was literally something that broke the gaming grounds, now it's practically forgotten, barely anyone below the age of 20 know the games even exist.

Ive heard about the game and seen gameplays of it years ago like how the player would go slow motion or freeze time and shit (i forgot which but u said time stop so yeah) was hella cool but i never got around to playing it myself. Also this post alone deserves to be nominated in High Quality Content :Smirk:

In Dishonored 1, Emily is voiced by Chloe Grace Moretz. She was definitely an underrated child voice actor of the era. If you watch this and close your eyes, you can hear Lady Emily having a bloodthirsty and prolonged mental battle with Alec Baldwin for 15 minutes.
