but as a girl i always hear my friends showing eachother the guys they’re talking to (obviously good looking) and ofc some part of chasing a gl guy is because they enjoy being with someone handsome (most of the time out of their league) for their own pleasure but also a big part of it that i notice is so they can show him off to other girls, in the hopes they become somewhat jealous ig? maybe not jealousy but idk what else to call it tho, they just want other girls to be impressed yk

Its def an ego boost if a girl is dating a chad out of her looksmatch for example so they can show to their friends or everyone that it is possible. Either that or they just wanna make people envy of what they have (hence making hypergamy worse)
