i am pretty sure you are older than me since i think you have more experience and no amount of theoretical frame work will work as much as experience

what do you think about planning i mean not the basics. just how and when should i plan how far how long i would like a deeper dive on this, and also how should i decide what is option is better in decision making situations for me ofc all these require context but if we assume i have a great understanding of context what should i do with the context to plan and decide not short term simple thing but long term also what you think of deciding thing through a quantitative measure this is a lot of question but i would like for you to answer as it seems your smart also ppl like @gato @God too help i am about start planning for my future its lil late but better late than never and ofc i won't blindly follow this i will do my own research too

From both a practical and a philosophical perspective, relativism is generally prioritized over absolutism in almost every instance. When we look at future planning, sure, there's often a benefit in identifying short, medium, and long term goals. But there's not really a universal rule that applies to everything.

Additionally, when we look at major long term decisions like career changes, they're pretty standard in life. Most college students change their major at least once, the average being 2-3 times (Studentrg, 2025). That doesn't mean they were poorly planned or had some failure. It means that their life trajectory changed.

I don't think there's any way to have a consistent system to make decisions. Just knowing yourself and accepting that much of you are will change every few years. Your interests, perspectives, values, they're not going to be identical to where they are now in just a few years. Just be open to reflecting and go with where you generally find your future to lead you.
