how did it break? it looks like it has one of those screw thingies on the side ur supposed to tighten when it's aligned properly?

My cats were playing over there, my orange cat flung my black cat off of my recliner into the red light stand and it snapped it in half, my black cat is a Maine coon and he weighs a lot
