What do you think about heightism being worse than racism
shit with weight is absurd imo, if you wanted it that bad, you would make it happen, your a fat fuck because you live and lived a fat fuck lifestyle, just how it is, though that is seen as insensitive in today’s society i feel it’s true, your health is something you absolutely can’t control control no matter what.
Whether you personally think it's acceptable to shame someone for X body trait because of Y isn't really my point.
It doesn't really matter if it's true or not, because commenting and shaming other people for how their bodies look is just culturally acceptable in general, and the difference between it being weight or height is minimal, because the outcome is similar.
Race is one of the few "body shaming" that's done regarding body traits that isn't "body shaming", it's deep rooted in every aspect of society, culture, history, and how we've developed. Body shaming no longer includes race because of that, because while they're both discrimination on body traits, their impact on an individual is vastly different. One will impact your rights and so on.
In general people will always excuse shaming for each other's bodies, because in their eyes it's always justified. Nobody who's ever said something mean about someone else's body will ever say they thought they were in the wrong, it is just how it is. Women will never admit that shaming men for their height was "bad", it will always be justified to them.
In my opinion, obesity is a type of disability, and in the same way I wouldn't shame a disabled person for not "trying hard enough in physical therapy to regain mobility", I wouldn't shame a fat person for not "trying hard to eat less to lose weight". It's not my place to comment on it unless they're asking for my opinion on it.
