Gymmaxxing : The guide I wish I had when I first started lifting (For Men)

Good beginners guide, just a little more to add on from my opinion, nutrition is VERY important, muscle can’t be built without the right nutrients, prioritize 0.8-1.3g of protein per lb of body weight, 1.8-2.2g of carbs per lb of body weight and 0.3-0.5g of fat per lb of body weight. Yes, I know fats seem antagonizing but it is CRUCIAL for hormone health. (Also don’t fall for the no carb bullshit, carbs are your energy and can very much help you to push yourself harder in the gym) Also good exercises on each muscle group, what I would change is the back exercises though, I would do 2-3 exercises minimum for your back, 2 for your lats and 1 for your mid back. Exercises I’d pick are wide grip lat pulldowns to bias frontal plane of the lats (please search up how to do it properly because I’ve seen beginners sometimes lean back too much making it a row) and a close grip row to bias that sagittal plane of the lats, and only 1 exercise for your mid back and make sure you are doing scapular retraction/squeezing your shoulder blades together because that is the function of your mid back. For exercises I’d pick a t bar row or a wide grip row and please for the love of god make sure your elbows are flared, if you do the exercise with your elbows close to your torso you will be turning it into a lat exercise. Ultimately these exercises will hit all muscle groups of the back effectively.
