Does work give life more meaning?

i think working itself gives you a purpose to live your life, but it really depends on what you do imo people are not made to rot alone and do nothing all the time, even the people in the stone age had "jobs" for different stuff like gathering, hunting and whatever else these mfs did

but in todays age we got so many different jobs where you don't get that feeling from probably, i think the most meaningful jobs are working for NGOs which help animal or people in need, because you get the most "reward" out of it because you are genuienly helping someone in need which probably gives you more purpose than just rotting in a office 8h wirting invoices and answering emails
