these shoes originated from fifteenth century Japan, and royalty loved wearing them for functional purposes- supposedly the split toe helped keep balance better. they evolved into boots and then got picked up by maison margiela around 1980. I think it’s such a unique silhouette and it would look really cool (big feet or not), but then again you are french and they’re assholes. embrace the horse feet and live free of cringe
