They used a mix of pure oleic and ethanol to create a serum who will in theory irritates the skin but trigger a defense mechanism who will grow new vellus/hair as a "side effect". I said ostrich fat in PG but in reality pure oleic acid and ethanol should do the same job.
Idk if it's worth waiting for a better long term trial because both compounds are widely available at pharma grades levels but the product in the study is patented.

It always confirmed my theory to thinning hair growth oils like castor or rice bran with an alcohol derivative to create a better absorption, for any hair growth : brows, lashes, scalp, beard etc
Same thing with bee venom
