[QOTW #3] Is it possible to exercise too much?

So, ignoring injuries that come from too much exercise, is it possible to exercise way too much?

I think it is possible, personally speaking. If you spend all your time doing it, it kind of becomes disordered after a while. Ignoring injury, I imagine it would have negative health consequences too. I think people look kinda rough after a certain extent of being too ripped, or if their goal is to lose weight being underweight, etc. What do you think?
Ego lifting can definitely increase the risks of injuries and not resting enough slows down progress significantly. Not having at least a rest day or two in your week is detrimental to your body’s recovery. Resting and recovering is part of the bodybuilding too. But to generally answer the question: Yes, pushing your body past its limits is counter productive.
