an interaction me and my husband had early in our relationship that we constantly joke about is him saying something like "ur unique." at the time i burst out laughin, being all like... damn ik im quirky, why u gotta say it like that. and he got so embarrassed and felt bad, but in that moment i felt kind of seen in an indirect way. awkward phrasing, goofy moment, but he said it with love.

ive always been quirky in general, with my husband i just feel more affectionate about it tbh. i bite him a lot playfully. i tell my friends and theyre like "oh yeah i can totally see that." there's a sense of certain quirky behaviors im associated with even if the actual behavior is private or reserved for my husband. i think it's a good balance of being true to myself but keeping certain things between me and my husband
