Will depends person to person but i've saw women being nice caring people dating the complete opposite : total douchbags. And it was explicit, meaning that the guy never hidden his true personality. It's the same thing with different views on politics sometimes.

But overall people never end-up with the strict opposite but not the similar either, it can't be possible to find an exact carbon copy of yourself in a partner, especially in hobbies, views, opinions etc...

And it's a good thing sometimes having someone not thinking the same way than you
