Tiktok misandrists

Few things here! One, that particular woman is an idiot, end of sentence. There are definitely things where women are not the primary target of research and that's not okay (friendly reminder to be sure you know heart attack symptoms for both women and men), but when we're talking about someone being a loser that's completely unrelated to crash test dummies.

Where the patriarchy comes into the equation is about historical and current freedom of choice. Most cultures throughout history, men have had both all the decision making power but also all the decision making responsibility. Most of history, a man's profession was the one his dad did, but he (often) had the option to start a new life somewhere else. Women, however, who were often unable to work, their existence depended on their husbands. The question was not how could women live their life, but who did they needed to find to secure their survival. Obviously that choice also didn't exist at all in areas with arranged marriage or military occupation.

As we look at the modern world, that's not so much the case. Women do indeed have all these same freedoms as modern men. Even if we look at the modern wage gap between men and women, in the states there have been laws in place preventing women from being underpaid for over 50 years now. The issue with the patriarchy comes from the cultural influence pushing the "pink collar" culture on girls when they're young. Girls are taught they should have a desire to be teachers or nurses or in other lower paying fields.

I'm a feminist by definition in that I believe women should have all equal opportunities men do. And by that definition, that goal has been mostly achieved. I say this as someone with an advanced education, owns a business, and brings in enough income to meet my needs by myself, three things my grandmother could not say in her era.
When we look at social differences between men and women, the impacts of the patriarchy, at least in my opinion, are not viable topics to bring up for saying why men have life somehow easier regarding socialization.

To the initial point, "i feel like the average tiktok misandrist brain can't think of why it's an oversimplified conclusion" I completely agree with this statement. But I say so with the emphasis that I don't think that the average tiktok misandrist is the average woman. If a woman is choosing to spend her free time making tiktoks about why men are losers in some capacity, they're probably not the most intelligent or healthy of humans and I have to imagine that part of the internet is a concentrated presence of them.
