What stops you from actively seeking more education or work related things?

Work related including but not limited to: certifications, training, opportunities, or generally just asking for more responsibilities at your current job if you have one.

I'm interested in more education but struggle with time and money. Ideally on days I don't work, I would have a LOT of time if I cut out things like gaming and scrolling... but I feel like it'd be unrealistic to cut out as much as I would need to actually attend school regularly AND work full time.

I wanted to join nursing school (For free if declared as unemployed at the french unemployement) but got rejected despite me having a serious resume with firefighting and medical knowledge.

Weeks ago i got a proposition from Action for a director's job than i declined because you basically need to flight over the country to save an other store, which mean being away from my fiancée and my family for months. Despite her ready to follow me and quit her own job, i refused because well, she has her own stability that i didn't wanted to nuke tbf.

I could have been a nurse, a store director or being a manager again, but i decided to apply to become a tech salesman. A lesser salary but at least i have more free time that i can enjoy without worrying about money & workload

Generally, laziness is my hindrance; I believe that my dopamine receptors have just puffed into thin air.
Too much TikTok has rotted me. Even when I watch movies, I'm usually playing Sudoku on the side.

Also, I really deem a lot of my schoolwork to be pretty otiose. Fuck English Literature, shit sucks.
I'd rather just dedicate my time to becoming extremely good at a certain topic, such as cybersecurity.
